Industrial Controller

About the Role:

We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Industrial Controller to join our manufacturing finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the plant's financial and operational performance by delivering accurate reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and helping drive cost visibility across the business.

Working closely with Finance and Operations teams, you will contribute to month-end reporting processes, industrial cost management, standard costing activities, and profitability analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating across functions, and influencing business decisions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities:

As an Industrial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the plant by ensuring accurate reporting, robust cost control, and insightful financial analysis. You will take ownership of the month-end reporting process, ensuring financial results are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with group reporting standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, ensuring costs are correctly allocated across cost centres and materials to provide a reliable view of business performance.

You will partner closely with the Plant Controller and Operations teams to support the budgeting and forecasting process. By gathering operational inputs, challenging assumptions, and analysing trends, you will help build accurate forecasts and identify potential risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives. Your insights will contribute to better decision-making and improved financial visibility across the site.

You will support the management and maintenance of material standard costs, ensuring costing data remains accurate and reflects operational realities. Through detailed analysis of manufacturing and overhead costs, you will help assess product, brand, and SKU profitability, providing recommendations that support business performance and continuous improvement.

A key part of your role will be working collaboratively with plant operations teams to strengthen financial awareness and drive best practices in cost management. You will monitor operational and financial KPIs, analyse variances, and translate complex data into meaningful insights that can be used to improve efficiency and support strategic objectives.

You will also act as a trusted business partner to both Finance and Operations stakeholders, helping to bridge the gap between operational activity and financial performance. By providing clear analysis, practical recommendations, and ongoing support, you will contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the plant.

About You:

You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline and bring previous experience within a controlling, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or similar finance environment. You have strong SAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and are confident using the Microsoft Office Suite. You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large and complex data sets. You possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across Finance and Operations. A proactive mindset, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment will help you succeed in this role.
