Key Account Manager
About the Role:
We have a current opening for a Key Account Manager and are actively reviewing applications.
As they Key Account Manager, you will take the lead in managing a high-impact International Key Account (IKA), owning the strategy and execution needed to deliver against ambitious sales and profit targets. In this role, you’ll bring Ferrero Caribe’s in-store vision to life—leading negotiations and ensuring best-in-class execution across product listings, distribution, shelf presence, checkout visibility, and cross-merchandising. You’ll play a key role in translating the Marketing and Trade Calendar into compelling, in-store visibility that drives results.
Success in this role comes from your ability to build strong, trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders—from Buyers and Category Managers to Replenishment and Finance—positioning yourself as a strategic partner who influences and delivers.
This position is hybrid, reports to the Puerto Rico Sales Director and will be based in our Puerto Rico offices in Guaynabo, PR.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own the development and delivery of annual sales targets by brand/SKU and trade promotion plans, aligned with overall operating plan and profit objectives.
- Lead day-to-day management of key accounts, driving execution of commercial agreements including assortment, pricing, promotions, and in-store visibility.
- Build and present annual account plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with broader commercial strategy.
- Plan and confirm trade promotions in advance, ensuring effective execution and coordination across teams.
- Partner cross-functionally to support forecasting processes and improve forecast accuracy through data-driven insights.
- Ensure compliance with freshness and quality standards, proactively managing product rotation and executing freshness initiatives.
- Drive in-store excellence by developing and executing visibility plans, optimizing shelf presence, and implementing best-in-class merchandising standards.
- Communicate key account plans and agreements clearly to internal sales teams to enable flawless execution in market.
- Manage trade investment across multiple promotional mechanics, ensuring alignment with budget and effective spend tracking.
- Conduct regular store and customer visits to monitor performance, strengthen relationships, and identify growth opportunities (20% travel for trade visits or apprx ~1 day/week)
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business priorities.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 4–7 years of experience in Key Account Management or B2B sales, ideally within CPG/retail
- Proven ability to manage large accounts and deliver against sales and profitability targets
- Strong skills in:
- Customer relationship management and stakeholder influence
- Negotiation and joint business planning
- In-store execution, merchandising, and retail fundamentals
- Order management, forecasting, and supply chain coordination
- Space/category management and shelf optimization
- Budget management and trade investment analysis
- Data-driven with experience using Circana/IRI and retailer platforms (e.g., Walmart Supplier One, Scintilla, Supplier Net)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
