Project Engineer Specialist - Logistics
About the Role:
We have a current opening for a Project Engineer Specialist – Logistics and are actively reviewing applications.
We are looking for a Project Engineer Specialist – Logistics to join Ferrero Engineering.
In this role, you will lead the design, implementation and optimization of logistics solutions across Ferrero's global manufacturing network. You will manage complex engineering projects involving warehouses, automated material handling systems (AMR, AGV, ect) and intralogistics, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, efficient and standardized solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
As Project Engineer – Logistics, you will:
• Lead end-to-end logistics engineering projects, from concept and design through execution and commissioning.
• Develop and optimize warehouse and intralogistics solutions, including automated material handling, storage systems and picking technologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, Automation, Utilities and Purchasing.
• Manage technical interfaces with external suppliers, system integrators and logistics partners.
• Support CAPEX planning, budgeting and investment evaluations for logistics projects.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to standardize engineering solutions and share best practices across Ferrero plants.
• Contribute to the development of engineering standards, digital tools and innovative approaches, including Digital Twin and BIM methodologies.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to quality, timing, cost and safety requirements.
About You:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Industrial or related discipline).
• Around 5 years of experience in engineering project management, preferably within logistics, manufacturing or automation environments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Knowledge of warehouse automation and intralogistics systems.
• Good understanding of SAP (preferably EWM) and industrial automation environments.
• Familiarity with PLCs, industrial networks, databases and automation systems is considered an advantage.
• Experience with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks is a plus.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent English.

You will collaborate with colleagues across Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, Automation, Utilities and Purchasing, while partnering with external engineering firms, logistics suppliers and automation providers to successfully deliver global logistics projects.

The base salary range for this position is $92,000- $123,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
