About the Role:

The HR Generalist is responsible for local training & development initiatives for salaried employees and serves as the Internal Communication Ambassador, promoting effective information flow and engagement.  

Main Responsibilities:

Employee Training
•    Assist with organizing and participating in employee training sessions as required.
•    Develop and monitor training budget: reconcile training actual spend.
•    Manage training policy, process, communication and tracking in alignment with NA approach. Update policies as needed (via emails or on the HR boards).
•    Drive local training needs & delivery in alignment with North America Talent.
Talent Development
•    Support NA Talent & local HRBPs.
•    Support local talent development initiatives.
•    Drives local Industrial Graduate Program.
•    Prepare for every annual employee training sessions: Alchemy, Frontline Supervisor Training, Inclusion and Respect, other…
•    Work with various departments to develop training plans and ensure the execution of such training.
Diversity and Inclusion
•    Support inclusive practices in training and communication.
Internal Communication
•    Ensure all organizational announcements and communication is made available to hourly workforce via communication boards, Forward Kiosk etc.
•    Support deployment of the biannual You Survey, support communication of results and develop action plans.
•    Support recognition programs for hourly and salary departments.
•    Generating and sending out Internal Communications.
•    Organize events and collaborate with Internal Communication on their execution.
•    Promote a digital culture (e.g. Yammer). 
Employee Relations
•    Provide guidance and interpretation of policy and legislation to employees.
•    Assist Sr HR Generalist with general human resources practices and procedures.
Other Projects
•    Assist with Employee programs such as: recognition programs, service awards, retirements, and other programs as required. 
Safety
•    Promote a Safety oriented culture and support all the local H&S initiatives.
Quality and Food Safety
•    Ensure all program requirements/standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced and maintained.

Who we are looking for:

•    Talent Development Strategies: understanding of training requirements and skills assessment.
•    IC Best Practice: knowledge of communication tools and strategies to engage employees effectively.
•    Project Management: skills to plan, execute and evaluate training and communication initiatives.
•    Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft MS environment including Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
•    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitive information.
•    Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems and payroll systems
•    Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced team environment

4-7 years of experience

Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
