About the Role:
We are looking for a Cost Accountant Manager to join our growing team in Franklin Park, IL. This role will ensure ongoing analysis of local production performance and efficiencies.
Main Responsibilities:
BUDGET PREPARATION
• Assist the Plant Controller with the preparation of the budget
• Cost center and pool analysis
• Data input in SAP and full execution of Budget cost run
• Data correctness analysis
PRODUCT COSTING
• Preparation of the material standard cost for each new code received throughout the year
• Perform the cost calculation and transfer price of new products received throughout the year
INDUSTRIAL COSTS/ANALYSIS
• Ensure ongoing analysis of progress and variance of resources used in production and production efficiency (includes materials, labor, overtime)
• Prepare the corresponding reports
MONTH END
• Liase with Maintenance, Administration, and Central to meet Group close timelines (Local and Central level)
• Ensure that the monthly costs are posted, requiring the needed accruals
• Execute Month-end close procedure
• Execute Assessments and cycles – correcting and troubleshooting with IT and Central functions if required
MONTHLY VARIANCES
• Create database for Monthly Variances
• Analyze and report variances
• Activate or support action plan to reduce variances
CAPEX & FIXED ASSETS REGISTER
• Monitor and prepare regular (monthly) reporting on the capital project WIP
• Perform needed activities in SAP to prepare and maintain the capex WBS
• Keep actual the asset register when fixed assets are subject to changes
REPORTING
• Preparation of internal weekly reports;
• Preparation of specific budget progress reports pertaining to (OVH, energy, equipment depreciation, destructions, etc.);
• Month-end Reporting Package Preparation
• Communication of Variances and Results to Production AGs, highlighting key trends to UGPs
Who we are looking for:
- Knowledge of SAP
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of production process including phases, cycles, production models and Ferrero information systems related to production
- Economics Background
- Understanding of Costing
- Experience in Inventory Control
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- 4-7 years of experience
Compensation Data
The base salary range for this position is $71,445.00- $95,260.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
