Area Sales Manager

About the Role:

As Area Sales Manager within Ferrero Romania, you will be part of Field Sales Force team, responsible for Ferrero’s activities related to selling and product image within your area of execution.
You will be in charge of maintaining a good relationship with direct and indirect clients and also with our distributor, coordinating merchandisers’ structure and ensuring that targets are achieved.
This role involves good implementation and work-flow of internal application, execution of sales plans and budgets, implementation and sustainability of company’s innovations and support for the sales team and colleagues.
The coverage area includes the following counties: Cluj, Satu Mare, Salaj, Bihor.

Main Responsibilities:

Sales Planning & Performance: You start each cycle with clear and well prepared sales plans. Using monthly and yearly strategies, you organize sales sessions, analyze performance data, and proactively adjust to ensure targets are met — in sales value, volumes and active clients.
Execution & Market Excellence: In the field, you ensure Ferrero looks exactly as it should: premium, fresh, and flawlessly executed. You monitor merchandising standards, optimize shelf and counter spaces, validate secondary placements, and keep product freshness under strict control. Your presence ensures excellence in every store.
Commercial & Competitive Insights: You stay ahead of the market, tracking competitor activities, promotions, launches, and trade developments — and you use insights to recommend adaptations that strengthen Ferrero’s competitive advantage.
Distributor & Client Collaboration: Success in this role is powered by strong relationships. You know decision-makers, understand business dynamics, and work side by side with distributors and direct clients. You coordinate sales and merchandising teams, lead weekly performance discussions, identify improvement areas, and ensure flawless execution of commercial plans.
Reporting & Operational Rigor: You bring structure and clarity to the business with your accurate weekly/monthly reporting, visit summaries, KPI tracking, and escalation of issues, helping to ensure operational continuity and strategic progress.
Stock & Coverage Management: You forecast and recommend optimal stocks, prevent gaps, and support distributors in maintaining the right product flow. You also continuously explore new client opportunities to expand our market reach.

About You:

You’ve built a solid path in FMCG sales — at least three years of hands on experience that taught you how to navigate clients, targets, and fast moving markets.
Your university degree gives you the structure and discipline needed to plan and execute with precision.
You communicate confidently, including in English, and you handle Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook with ease — tools that help you stay organized, informed, and ready for action.
You naturally think like a salesperson: you negotiate well, build strong relationships, and stay focused on results. You’re proactive, adaptable, and quick to find solutions when challenges appear.
You keep your work organized, manage multiple priorities smoothly, and maintain strong connections with the people around you — colleagues, clients, and distributors.
And of course, you enjoy being on the move, supported by your Category B clean driving license.
