Packaging Manager North America Local Jewels

About the Role:
Responsible for defining and delivering the Packaging Development strategic plan for Cookies, Cones, Crusts, Better for You, and Mainstream Chocolate brands (i.e.: Local Jewel brands) in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Caribbean countries.
Secures brand sales and profit growth through packaging materials and packaging systems aimed at optimizing the extended supply chain cost structure, deploying innovation, designing for recycling, reducing the use of virgin plastics, and securing product protection, food safety, and quality.
Reports to the head of Packaging North America and leads a team of six Packaging professionals.
Main Responsibilities:
• Deliver Packaging projects based on commercialization plans across North America.
• Develop appropriate packaging solutions from structural, brand fit, cost & complexity points of view.
• Lead development work, technical validation, and economic feasibility, addressing key industrial and commercial requirements.
• Explore and adopt innovative packaging solutions and technologies for local brands.
• Support Ferrero Engineering and Plants in developing and deploying investment plans for local brands.
• Design and deploy a portfolio of value improvement projects driven by Packaging insights and technology for local brands.
• Deploy a portfolio of material de-risking initiatives, leading technical validation E2E.
About You:
• Material science or engineering degree. Consolidated structural packaging design knowledge. Understanding of packaging line design.
• 12+ years of experience in packaging development for fast moving consumer products.
• Project management, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills are deemed critical for the role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, adaptability and aptitude to teamwork.
• Knowledge of Auto-CAD, ArtiosCad, Illustrator/Photo shop, and MS Office suite.
Compensation Data
The base salary range for this position is $127,577 - $170,102 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
