Marketing Manager, Nutella Cafe

Nutella Café is the first U.S. flagship restaurant of Ferrero – the maker of Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder, Baby Ruth, Crunch, Butterfinger, Fannie May, Tic Tac, and many other world-renowned products and brands. While there have been many eateries with Nutella inspired fare around the country, there are only two cafes owned and operated exclusively by Ferrero.

 

Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing Nutella and the VP and General Manager of Fannie May & Nutella Cafe, the Nutella Cafe Marketing Manager will be responsible for formulating the restaurant’s long-term strategy and for developing 360 marketing plans. The role will be accountable for delivering a solid go-to-market plan and will manage communications with all cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency, execution and provide training on related programs to the staff at both cafés, with which collaboration and teamwork will be imperative. The Nutella Café Marketing Manager will work directly with the Nutella brand team to develop strategies and tactics that are synergistic with the overall Nutella brand.

 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop promotional strategies for brand awareness and profitability, including street marketing and in-store activations
  • Define marketing KPI’s such as promotional activity, shopper marketing, conversion, & ROMI to assist in better positioning and brand optimization of company products
  • Manage consumer promotional activities and marketing events including executing Nutella Brand Marketing Activations at café level
  • Oversee management of menu, packaging, and merchandising. Including partnership with Fannie May Chef in development of LTO products and menu improvements
  • Manage PR and social media presence, including community/posting, crisis, paid media, press releases, and publicity strategies and campaigns
  • Support brand positioning and communication strategies through omni-channel efforts. This includes the management of content on digital canvasses for in-café promotions and menu
  • Identify innovative business building ideas to increase business prospects
  • Other duties assigned as necessary
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field of study
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of Marketing experience in quick-service/restaurant environment
  • Experience working on hands-on project development and implementations in brick and mortal retail
  • Experience designing programs to drive traffic in a restaurant/retail environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, agencies, and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Effective public speaking skills and presence
  • Ability to work with data and develop effective presentations
  • Advanced MS Office Skills
  • Passion for discovering and promoting Ferrero’s vision and culture
  • Strong, established financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets
  • Ability to work with data and develop effective presentations
  • Up to 40% travel required to Manhattan (NY) and Parsippany (NJ)
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
