About the Role:
As Area Sales Manager within Ferrero Romania, you will be part of Field Force team, responsible for Ferrero’s activities related to selling and product image within your area of execution.
You will be in charge of maintaining a good relationship with direct and indirect clients and also with our distributor, coordinating merchandisers’ structure and ensuring that targets are achieved.
This role involves good implementation and work-flow of internal application, execution of sales plans&budgets, implementation and sustainability of company’s innovations and support for the sales team and colleagues.
The coverage area includes the following counties: DB, PH, BZ, VN, BC.
Main Responsibilities:
Planning, Sales and Active Clients
• Prepares the sales session and promotional activities according with the monthly/annual budget strategy (based on client/brand/product code);
• Responsible for the weekly/monthly analysis and sales planning based on active clients and related to commercial year;
• Responsible for achieving sales target and active clients;
Commercial Activity/ Stock control
• Implements trade/commercial activity plans and checks their execution, taking the necessary decisions in solving possible situations;
• Ensures implementation of commercial/merchandising standards of Ferrero(shelf spaces, counter spaces and secondary placements);
• Executes frequent store checks, controls the secondary placements, “shelf space” and “counter space” and checks the freshness of Ferrero products;
• Responsible for target achievement regarding distribution (numerical/weighted average) as established by company;
Market research
• Monitors competitors activities, placements, promos, new products launches, strategies and packaging;
• Observes the development of commercial trade/distribution and proposes to adapt the sales strategy to this;
Relationship with direct clients, distributors’ clients and distributors
• Knows in detail the decision factors and the responsible persons that manage Ferrero products among direct clients;
• Coordinates Ambient and Chilled distributors’ selling and merchandising activities, training the teams as to maximize the performances;
• Organizes weekly meetings with distributors’ teams for Ambient and Chilled products so to analyze performances, solve problems and improve existent situations;
• Maintains and develops good business and courtesy relationships with the distributor, being responsible for the their good implementation and execution;
• Responsible for knowing all the important food (product) distributors form their field area;
Reports and Presentations
• Prepare sales reports in line with the instructions received (weekly/monthly);
• Each visit to the distributor will be followed by filling in and sending a meeting report to the direct supervisor;
• Weekly report covering performance developments at the level of responsibility area (SR store checks results, KPI's monitoring);
• Any other reports related to coverage and requested only by the direct supervisor;
• Report any product or customer issue in the shortest possible time;
• Makes reports on competitors' activity when appropriate;
Orders/Stock management
• Forecasts, makes recommendations, checks and maintains an enhanced stock level for direct clients and distributors concerning orders, as to achieve sales target;
Market Coverage
• Makes examinations, recommendations and plays an active part in developing customer portfolio;
Reports and Presentations
• Prepares daily/weekly/monthly/quarter sessions and yearly reports for every product and client;
• Prepares various presentations when necessary;
• Draws up reports regarding competitors activity;
Who we are looking for:
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position within a FMCG company;
• University degree;
• Good level of English, written and spoken;
• Good command of Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook;
• Strong sales & negotiation skills, team spirit, problem solving & self-driven attitude;
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines;
• Results oriented person, adaptable, with good networking skills;
• Valid driving licence, cat. B;
