For our Ferrero Romania business unit based in Bucharest, we are currently looking for Point of Sales Development and Implementation Specialist to support the POS Development and Implementation Manager, to whom will report directly, in the planning, design and implementation of effective and efficient in store activation initiatives including Point of Sales Materials, Freezers, Promoters and other Shopper Activation initiatives across the retail landscape, including Modern Trade, Traditional Trade and Out of Home channels.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of in store shopper activation initiative with the aim to improve Ferrero products’ visibility and rotation in store across the relevant channels and all store formats.
The role is a bridge position, interfacing firstly with Sales Team in charge of clients and as well with Marketing, BTL agencies, suppliers, Finance dept, Supply Chain. The key challenge of the position is firstly client driven to ensure developing a full understanding of the clients, identify potential and prepare tailored made activities/POS.
POS Development and Implementation Specialist has the duty to interact with any department to make sure that the deadlines are respected and escalate any issue foreseen.
In this role, you help bring Ferrero’s products to life in stores. You take marketing plans and turn them into real experiences that shoppers can see and interact with.
From the first idea to the final shelf placement, you support the development and setup of point-of-sale (POS) materials. You help estimate quantities, check costs, and make sure the materials are clear, stable, and well-placed in-store. You also keep track of what’s ordered and what’s actually used and look at supplier options to get the best value.
You follow how campaigns are rolled out in stores, gather feedback from field teams and agencies, and help solve any issues that come up during execution.
You also work with promoter & BTL agencies—sharing all the materials they need, checking costs, and helping decide if a project should continue next year. Weekly check-ins help keep everything on track.
You also support budget tracking by creating purchase requests and keeping an eye on spending on POS and in-store activities.
Finally, you will engage with marketing, trade marketing, sales, finance, supply chain and procurement teams to ensure effective in-store activation initiatives, ensure profitability and compliance, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented team player & professional with minimum 3 years’ experience in Retail activation, ideally gained in Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry. You bring an understanding of in store activation dynamics and efficient cross-functional process management.
Your experience includes supporting successful retail activations from shopper perspective. A background in sales, marketing or trade marketing is considered a plus, as it provides a broader business vision and strategic sensitivity.
You combine good communication and coordination skills with a structured and analytical mindset. Fluency in Romanian and English is required. Experience with SAP Ariba is preferred. Finally, you are open to occasional travel, as the role involves regular interaction with suppliers and understanding real-life implementation.
