About the Role:
For our Ferrero Romania business unit based in Bucharest, we are currently looking for Out of Home and Traditional Trade Channel Development Manager to support the Trade Marketing Manager, to whom report directly, in the design, definition and implementation of business development initiatives with focus on HoReCa, Leisure, Vending, Petrol Stations, Convenience and Traditional Trade channels, with the ultimate goal to ensure a sustainable business grow. The range of products includes both ingredients for food service professionals, single served ambient, frozen products and ice cream.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a deep understanding of Out of Home and Traditional Trade business dynamics, by store format, analyzing trends and generating insights on how to improve Ferrero distribution, visibility and rotation in these channels.
You will analyze the key players of the market, understanding the levers to ensure successful implementation of the new categories and projects across all the relevant channels with the aim to improve the whole category performance development, including products visibility and rotation in store across the relevant channels and store formats.
You will define an effective business development plan including ingredients, food service equipment and industrial products (e.g. single serve), defining the perfect assortment and mix per format and customer.
You will lead the identification of the potential of Ferrero categories at channel and customer level, together with store activation action standard, for example portfolio, planogram, check out, etc., and concrete actions to achieve the channel and customer potential.
You will collaborate with Sales with the aim of defining the strategic channel development plan and to follow up on its implementation, supporting interactions with our partners and the retail chains if needed.
You will collaborate with Marketing in the category plan development and implementation, always aligning media and shopper activation initiatives with focus on Out of Home and Traditional Trade.
You will collaborate with other Trade Marketing structures to support the setup and execution of in-store activation, working side by side with the POS Development and Implementation manager, ensuring effective and efficient activation initiatives in Out of Home and Traditional Trade channels and defining action with a continuous improvement mindset. This activity includes the effective freezer distribution plan for Ice Cream Out of Home and the activation of the new Nutella dispensers for professionals.
Monitoring and reporting on the development of the assigned channels in terms of distribution and rotation, identifying new development opportunities and sharing with the rest of the organization.
Finally, you will engage with marketing, trade marketing, sales and procurement teams to ensure effective in-store activation initiatives while ensuring profitability and compliance, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a professional with 7-8 years of experience and outstanding track record in Out of Home and Traditional Trade channel development, ideally gained in Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry.
You bring an understanding of channel dynamics and the lever of category growth across ambient and ice cream categories, including both ingredients and industrial products.
You are comfortable navigating cross-functional organizational dynamics and influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Your experience includes the successful definition and implementation of channel development strategies with proven results.
A background in sales, marketing or trade marketing is considered a plus, as it provides a broader business vision and strategic sensitivity.
You combine good communication and coordination skills with a structured and analytical mindset. Fluency in Romanian and English is required.
Finally, you are open to occasional travel to support the Sales team in customer engagement.
