Channel Manager Modern Trade NL
About the Role:
As Channel Manager you will undertake the leadership, management and communication of your team in the context of the Ferrero NL commercial policy. You will put forward a strategy for your channel and negotiate agreements with clients to achieve the identified goals. You will oversee the P&L of the channel in NL, define the strategic plan with the Sales Director, and implement the entire business plan.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategy, negotiation and implementation of the business plan:
You will analyze and initiate a detailed strategic plan together with Trade Marketing and help to develop suitable tools and materials. In addition, drawing up a channel and client/brand development plan will be part of your role to build a lasting competitive advantage while taking account of a category-based approach for the client. Supporting the KAMs when concluding annual commercial cooperation agreements will also be key.
Budget planning and management:
You will draw up the business plan for the channel and, together with the Sales Director NL, establish the forecast for annual sales of the clients. Managing the consolidated operating account of the clients will be another one of your key responsibilities. Managing budgets properly, ensuring they are met and organizing the follow-up in collaboration with the customer service and the accounts department will be essential.
Client management:
Another responsibility will be the weekly follow up of the sales forecast and the analysis of the development of volumes; determining catch-up actions if necessary.
Communication and information:
You will organize smooth communication in the Sales department and ensure information is properly circulated among the Trade / Marketing / Supply Chain management teams.
People management:
You will lead your team by coordinating, motivating and training each member to ensure individual and team development.
About You:
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in sales or another relevant field, and brings 7-10 years of experience in sales in the Dutch FMCG industry. A strong experience with Key Account Management is essential, including sales, negotiation and analytical skills. Interpersonal skills are crucial to build trust and establish solid relationships with colleagues, shareholders and customers. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
