Production Supervisor - Repack (Days and Afternoons)
About the Role:
We have a current opening for a Production Shift Supervisor and are actively reviewing applications.
The Production Shift Supervisor will coordinate the team members on the production line for the production execution during the shift and ensure productive factors availability (packaging, and people) following UGP Manager guidelines.
Shift/ Schedule:
This position will be on a days and afternoons rotation, Monday to Friday from 7:00AM to 3:00PM and 3:00PM to 11:00PM.
The shift will rotate on a weekly basis, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Resource Availability
• Responsible for the daily activities for the optimization of the production factors (material, method, labor force and machineries) providing all necessary information to UGP Manager with the usage / handling modalities of the single shift.
• Responsible within the shift for all production phases of the area of competence (Packaging) and for doing the inventory inside the area of responsibility
Production Planning/Shift Hand over
• Supports the planning of the operating activities on the lines
• Supports the Local Planning Department and the Team leaders for the in process changes of quantity to produce
• Supervises and changeover activities, together with the Quality Department and Packaging Component Providers
• Completes all shift handover responsibilities, supporting Team leader in communicating main information and issues
• Supervises and collects data from Team Leaders in order to update Production system (SAP for line hours, manpower, waste and recyclables)
Continuous Improvement
• Identifies and proposes continuous improvement initiatives and improvement areas
• Collaborates with the UGP Manager and SSP Function in the development and application of Continuous Improvement initiatives
Safety and Hygiene
• Responsible for the hygiene and sanitation compliance of the production area;
• Responsible for working within the guidelines of all applicable aspects of food safety program (ISO, HACCP, GMP) and ensuring compliance
Workplace Safety
• Ensures compliance with health & safety regulations not limited to and including the assigned production area;
• Completes health & safety incident/accident reporting;
Human Resources Management
• Manages workplace personnel issues, respecting company guidelines and informing the UGP Manager and HR
• Manages accidents on the line (first aid intervention, accident reporting, accident investigation) supported by the Team Leader, according to company guidelines.
Maintenance
• Work closely with Maintenance team to minimize disruption to the line in the case of breakdown and repair
Environmental
• To assist in the implementation of and conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas
About You:
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Knowledge of production lines and machinery (production performance indicators, technological processes)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge and experience in stock management, production models and planning techniques
• Knowledge and application of production performance analysis methods
• Knowledge and application of Food Safety, Quality and Sanitation policies and procedures
• Knowledge and application of production KPI’s
• Strong communications skills in a multi-cultural environment;
• Demonstrated ability to direct production employees in a proactive and positive manner;
• Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills;
• Ability to troubleshoot technological problems
• Demonstrated team building skills;
• Knowledge of production scheduling
• Human resource management skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a straight night shift environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Minimum Requirements:
• A minimum of 1-year experience in a leadership capacity (Team Leader, RTO, Supervisor) in a manufacturing setting
• Strong inter-personal skills, and ability to work in a matrix system;
• Demonstrated ability to direct production employees in a proactive and positive manner

The base compensation range for this position is $73,000 - $97,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
