About the Role:

The RMT position’s primary duties include supervising maintenance, supporting interventions, collaborating in the new projects’ realization. You will be responsible for defining, organizing and managing the realization of periodical revisions programs, ordinary, extraordinary and soft intervention, optimizing relative costs in order to achieve determined production results, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, respecting the given deadlines. Coordinating and organizing maintenance activities in order to ensure the plants workability (devices) and the highest level of reliability and efficiency of production lines. To provide support to PLC/Automation team as well as responsible for calibration managing including scheduling and managing the calibration Team. The RMT will support the Plant Audit process, Capex and Opex projects and manage the industrial network.

Also in scope for the RMT is ensuring the management of plant utilities in order to guarantee the energy supply (hot and cold water / steam); ensuring the air conditioning for both production sites and offices; and ensuring maintenance activities in relation to any buildings.

 

BUDGET

  • Maintenance Budget: gives to RdM and RMS all the indications dealing with resource needs (personnel, spare parts, external services companies), for the area under its responsibility.

MAINTENANCE POLICIES

  • Definition: cooperates in data collection and analysis needed for the evaluation of potential changes to maintenance policies.
  • Automaintenance: cooperate on the detection and application of automaintenance areas.
  • Monitoring: cooperates in the analysis of results derived from application/modification of Maintenance policies.

INTERVENTION PLANNING

  • Mid Term plan: cooperate in mid-term needs detection.
  • Activities memorandum: gives indication for the update of the intervention memorandum.
  • Scheduled stops planning gives information regarding resources availability (people, spare parts, external service companies).

INTERVENTION SCHEDULING

  • Short term plan development gives indications regarding resources availability (personnel, spare parts, external companies) and advice to postpone/hasten some of the interventions.
  • Collection and analysis of intervention needs collects and analyses anomalies signals giving indication regarding intervention needs.
  • Predictive Maintenance: collects all those weak signals detected on production units to analyze them together with RdM, and to agree on timing and modality of intervention.

 

Main Responsibilities:

INTERVENTION EXECUTION

  • Maintenance Practices: support in the spreading of best maintenance practices.
  • Intervention requests: evaluates on-call intervention requests and assign priority for those under its responsibility (urgency intervention), agrees with RdM the rest, and ensure the execution.
  • Automaintenance application evaluates the chance for transferring easy maintenance practices/actions to production personnel and monitor results.
  • SAL analysis: analyses SAL status for the activities under its area of competence comparing with activities plans/programs and detect corrective actions in case of missing objectives.
  • Safety: ensures the correct application of safety standards and safe behaviors during the execution of maintenance intervention.
  • External companies’ relationship management ensures, for the activities under its area of competence, the correct realization and accounting of those activities in charge of external companies.
  • Overtime intervention: operate also in different UGP from the one(s) under its area of responsibility in case of specific seriousness intervention (if requested).
  • Preventive Maintenance implementation: guarantees the correct implementation of preventive maintenance actions, including also those focused on improvement and condition-based.
  • Functional Checks: evaluate the correct application and development of all those functional checks potentially necessary for a machinery's "re-delivery" which follows an on-call intervention action.
  • Spare parts: guarantees the supply, also internally crafting, of all the necessary spare parts for the maintenance intervention.
  • Activities handover: ensures a correct and complete handover of the activities with the next turn RMT.
  • Provide direction and support to the PLC/Automation Team
  • Responsible for calibration managing including scheduling and managing the calibration Team
  • Support Plant Audit process 
  • Management of industrial network
  • Provide support Capex and Opex projects

DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT

  • Update and Archive takes part in the update and archiving of machinery books, operative manuals and other documentation.
  • Regulations and procedures: ensures that forms related to certification systems (ISO Systems) are correctly filled in.
  • Distribution and spreading, ensures the distribution and spreading of all the technical documentation.

SUPPLIERS MANAGEMENT

  • Request for quotations and analysis: definition of technical specifications for request for quotations and evaluation of the latters.
  • Technical suppliers evaluation: collects all the necessary information for the quality evaluation of particularly relevant suppliers in order to evaluate their insertion in the qualified supplier list

MATERIALS, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT

  • Material Coding: requests new material codes in system (SAP).
  • Equipment: manages the forklift set belonging to the UGP under its area of responsibility.
  • Sourcing: ensures machinery, equipment, services and materials purchasing for the activities under its area of competence.
  • Material sourcing: execute the sourcing of material and spare parts, guaranteeing Purchasing Requisitions are made and monitors the stock.

 

 

Main Responsibilities Continued:

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Improvements: detects areas for improvement both at maintenance system as a whole and at equipment/machinery level.
  • Initiatives evaluation: evaluate both at technical and economical level continuous improvement proposals, ensuring the development for those identified as valid and monitor the results once implemented.
  • Implementation: propose and cooperate in the implementation of initiatives and support in the evaluation of target achievement.

MONITORING AND ACCOUNTING

  • Technical Accounting: takes part in technical KPI and variances analysis.
  • Manpower accounting: accounts man power and guarantees the correct in-systems management.
  • Breakdown Analysis: takes part in the breakdown root cause information collection and analysis in order to detect and implement improvement intervention.
  • Monitoring KPIs definition: cooperate with TdM during the definition of maintenance KPIs.
  • Maintenance practices: collects and analyze maintenance practices for the area under its responsibilities.

HEALTH & SAFETY/ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure that all interventions are carried out with the necessary measures to ensure conditions of work which meet individual and environmental Health & Safety compliance;
  • Ensure the availability of protective measures, information and training for personnel;
  • Guarantee compliance with hygienic food safety standards;
  • Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment are compliant and detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules;
  • Coordinate with H&S to investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings; 
  • Ensure practices relating to environmental compliance are followed;
  • Coordinate proper recycling of scrap, disposal of scrap (metals and machinery);
  • In consultation with Utilities and H&S departments ensure waste and chemicals are disposed properly with regards to air and water emissions;
  • Coordinate with H&S and Utilities to ensure reports are filed and applications are registered respects to emissions issues.
  • To assist in the implementation of and conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas.

TRAINING

  • Maintenance Personnel: defines training plans during the entire career path of maintenance resources, guaranteeing the execution and the professional growth.
  • Production Personnel: manage and execute trainings production resources focused on auto-maintenance (basic regulation, size changes).
  • Training: manage and execute training on specific topics as agreed with requesting entities.

NEW PROJECTS

  • New Investments definition: cooperate with RdM in the collection and analysis of changes, updates and/or substitution of equipment requests.
  • Design and realization: cooperate with suppliers and other entities involved in the design and realization phases of new projects.
  • Changes: cooperate with RdM in the correct reporting for all relevant changes implemented on machinery during their entire lifecycle

PLANNING

  • Support the implementation of planned capital investments promoted by the Head of the Production Unit (CEO) and Plant Manager regarding new buildings, modifications to existing production lines and introduction of new production lines and machinery.

QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY

  • Ensure all program requirements/standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced and maintained.

ENVIRONMENTAL

  • To assist in the implementation of and conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas.
