Join us as the Field Category Manager for Walmart and become a key player in driving the success of Ferrero brands in the U.S. marketplace. Based in Rogers, AR, you'll report directly to the Director of Walmart Field Category Management. In this full-time role, you'll leverage your expertise to develop objective, data-driven category insights that not only meet sales and margin goals but also elevate the equity leadership of Ferrero brands. Your insights will be instrumental in shaping the future of our products within Walmart.

 

This position is Hybrid.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and communicate Ferrero’s strategy on how to grow the assigned categories, focusing on Distribution, Merchandising, Shelving, and Pricing (DSMP) fundamentals.
  • Translate Category Management annual & long-term priorities to actionable initiatives.
  • Participate in joint business planning development and line review sessions to enhance category growth within the Confections, Spreads and Cookie Categories.
  • Work collaboratively to develop innovative and insightful content to drive category growth.
  • Leverage all syndicated data resources, shopper insights platforms and research in support of the sales initiatives that ensure linkage with the category management plan.
  • Monitor and analyze category, competition, and consumer market data to proactively identify business opportunities and develop actionable category insights.
  • Build relationships with customer teams to become or strengthen strategic and trusted partner status.
  • Drive support for new product innovation launches through commercial planning process.

Who we are looking for:

  • 7+ years relevant experience required, CPG Foods experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/marketing discipline required; MBA a plus
  • Prior Category Management role required; Additional insights experience preferred 
  • Syndicated data required; Circana (IRI) & Scintilla experience preferred
  • Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with the necessary internal and external stakeholders, building solid relationships and customer influencing skills
  • Strategic and proactive thinking to develop category strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising objectives 
  • Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint, and Storytelling capabilities to translate data & insights into selling narratives 
  • Management presentation competencies to effectively present key category insights to senior leadership
  • Global mindset; desire to build a successful career with a growing global company
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • 10% Travel required for customer meetings and industry events
