Finance Intern (Accounting & Controlling)

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Interns to join our Finance team in Almaty. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across two functions Accounting Operations and Controlling, working on real business challenges, digital initiatives, and financial analysis.
You will collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to projects that support business decision-making and process optimization.

Main Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Analyze, document, and visualize accounting, treasury, and credit control processes (using Visio)
  • Participate in an Optical Recognition (AI) project to improve efficiency and automation
  • Review and align current financial processes with Group standards
  • Support the creation of a master file for accounting entries
  • Assist in building processes for foreign exchange control and bank reconciliations (non-resident entities)

 

Controlling & Financial Analysis

  • Support analysis of Supply Chain costs (transportation, warehousing, etc.)
  • Contribute to automation and simplification of sales forecasting tools
  • Prepare profitability reports and infographics for business insights
  • Assist in financial data analysis and performance tracking

About You:

  • Students of last year or recent graduates in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Financial Management

Strong knowledge (or academic background) in:

  • Accounting and tax regulations (Kazakhstan)
  • Financial analysis and controlling principles
  • International financial standards (IFRS is a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and MS Visio
  • Fluent English (Upper-Intermediate or higher)


Nice to Have:

  • Previous internship or experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Audit, FMCG, or Pharma
  • Participation in case competitions or analytical projects
