About the Role:

We are seeking a Packaging Buyer to develop and implement a local procurement strategy that adds exceptional value to our business.

In this role, you will align local business needs with global sourcing strategies, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality goods.  You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive profitability through cost-saving initiatives, and enhance our products to delight customers.  As the key link between our business and the supply chain, you'll ensure our products and processes meet our high standards.  Reporting to the Directs Senior Buyer, you'll play a crucial role in our procurement function's strategic vision and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will prepare tenders, brief suppliers, collate and analyse quotes, and conduct negotiations.  You will also place business with relevant contracts, MIRs, and SLAs, and serve as the project management interface with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

You will analyse the current portfolio, work with stakeholders to align business strategy and needs for various timeframes, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the supply market, supplier capabilities, strategies, product cost structures, and commodity trends.

You will regularly communicate cost trends to key stakeholders, establish transparent budgets for all procured items, and create and maintain a forecasting methodology for accurate fiscal year cost projections.  You will also deliver forecasted variances and drive cost reduction projects.

Your responsibilities will include assessing supplier positioning based on risk and value, developing strategies to achieve the best value for Ferrero while incentivising suppliers, and ensuring proper contractual rigor in the SRM process.  You will facilitate relationships across the business and supply base as needed.  Additionally, you will manage supplier setup and approval, handle supplier claims, and resolve supply issues effectively.

You will facilitate direct contact between relevant internal and external parties to ensure innovation flows into key business areas and collaborate with NPD teams to source appropriate products.  Additionally, you will understand and communicate the value beyond cost, challenge internal behaviours that impede value realisation, and support stakeholders in pursuing business value.

Who we are looking for:

To excel in this role, you will need strong SAP and Microsoft Office skills (including Word and Excel).  Proficiency with SAP Ariba for running ERFx would be beneficial.

A demonstrated experience in the sourcing process is essential, covering areas such as scouting, contract preparation and negotiation, preparing tenders, and awarding business.  Additionally, you should have proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and project management skills.

In-depth product and category knowledge is crucial, and you must be willing and able to travel for business as required.

Experience in an FMCG business and in managing people are highly valuable assets.

How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:

At Ferrero, our dedication and focus on consumers, quality, and care drives everything we do.  As a member of our team, your commitment to placing consumers at the forefront of your work is paramount.  Your skills and aspirations will be cherished and nurtured, and your contributions will make a lasting impact.  Together, we will continue to push boundaries, innovate, and raise the bar in the confectionary industry.

Join us on this rewarding journey, where the satisfaction of our consumers and the pride in our craftsmanship fuel our success.
