Customer Service Coordinator (Supply Chain 6-9 Months FTC)
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Customer Service Coordinator (Supply Chain) to join our Customer Operations team on a 6–9 month fixed-term contract, supporting the team during an important period for the business.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the right products, at the right time, acting as an important link between our customers, Commercial teams, Supply Chain and logistics partners.
From coordinating customer orders and monitoring deliveries to resolving issues and keeping stakeholders informed, you’ll help ensure our day-to-day customer operations continue to run smoothly and that we maintain excellent levels of service.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, customer-focused and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Main Responsibilities:
You’ll coordinate the day-to-day processing and management of customer orders, ensuring they are accurately maintained and progressed through to delivery. You’ll proactively monitor orders against forecasts and agreed customer requirements, identifying potential issues and working with the relevant teams to resolve them. Working closely with our third-party logistics partners, you’ll track deliveries and help resolve any issues that could impact our customers. You’ll also coordinate returned products and work with Finance and other internal teams where required to ensure queries are resolved efficiently.
Alongside our Commercial teams, you’ll monitor customer forecasts, product intake and seasonal requirements, highlighting changes or discrepancies that could affect availability or customer commitments. Building effective relationships with customer contacts will be an important part of the role. Through regular communication and collaborative working, you’ll help ensure customer requirements are understood and that we continue to provide a consistently high level of service.
You’ll support the wider Customer Operations team, sharing information and stepping in where required to ensure continuity of service across our customer portfolio, particularly during busy periods.
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, supporting initiatives that improve our processes, service and efficiency while monitoring key measures such as order fulfilment and product availability. Collaboration will be central to your role. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Distribution, Commercial and our logistics partners, helping to keep everyone aligned and ensuring customer requirements are effectively coordinated.
About You:
You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and able to quickly understand processes, build relationships and manage multiple priorities.
You’ll bring:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
- Confidence working with different teams and stakeholders
- The ability to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
- Good numerical skills and confidence working with data
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team
Previous experience within Customer Service, Customer Operations, Order Management or Supply Chain would be beneficial. Experience within an FMCG environment would be an advantage, particularly given the fast-paced nature of the role. As this is a 6–9 month fixed-term contract, we’re particularly looking for someone who can get up to speed quickly, take ownership of their responsibilities and make a positive contribution from the outset.
