About the Role:

Join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the procurement strategy for the Thorntons and Eat Natural brands!

You’ll collaborate with raw material and packaging buyers to drive maximum value, ensuring the right quality, at the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost.  Work cross-functionally with both internal teams and external partners to optimise profitability in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Help create products that delight customers, while ensuring smooth connections between our business and supply chain.  Ready to make an impact?  Come be part of something exciting!

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll support the development and execution of strategic sourcing for raw materials and packaging, ensuring alignment with both group and local sourcing strategies.  You'll assist in budget creation, financial forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives, providing accurate and timely updates on procurement costs.  Additionally, you’ll help manage supplier performance, focusing on quality, timeliness, cost, and service, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to communicate performance issues and track rejections and material concessions.

You'll take full responsibility for ensuring compliance with purchasing policies, DLA, and CSR standards, leading internal audits and resolving non-conformances.  You will prepare RFQs, analyse quotes, negotiate with suppliers, and oversee the placement of business contracts, SLAs, and POs, managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery.

The role also includes key administrative tasks such as setting up suppliers, managing POs, handling supplier claims, invoice holds, aged stock, and managing write-off budgets.  You will support daily BPO requirements, confirm volumes and prices, and assist with the artwork process.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, particularly in raw materials and packaging.

You should be comfortable managing budgets, forecasting costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Experience in supplier performance management, including tracking quality, timeliness, and cost, is essential, as is familiarity with contract management and negotiation.

You must also be detail-oriented, able to handle administrative tasks like supplier setup and POs and communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.

Experience in the FMCG sector is a plus, along with familiarity with ERP systems like SAP.

How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:

At Ferrero, our dedication and focus on consumers, quality, and care drives everything we do.  As a member of our team, your commitment to placing consumers at the forefront of your work is paramount.  Your skills and aspirations will be cherished and nurtured, and your contributions will make a lasting impact.  Together, we will continue to push boundaries, innovate, and raise the bar in the confectionary industry.

Join us on this rewarding journey, where the satisfaction of our consumers and the pride in our craftsmanship fuel our success.
