About the Role:
As a Trade Marketing Specialist, you will act as a strategic enabler between Sales, Marketing, and our customers. Your role is at the intersection of strategy and execution, combining category expertise, channel dynamics, and commercial insight to develop customer-centric solutions that drive growth. Whether you’re focused on Out of Home channels, Category Activation, or working directly with our customer teams, you will contribute to shaping Ferrero’s in-store presence and strengthening our competitive positioning. You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where every decision you make directly influences how our brands are experienced by millions of shoppers.
Main Responsibilities:
You will take ownership of building and executing trade marketing strategies that reflect Ferrero’s priorities and translate them into actionable commercial plans. This includes analyzing category performance, defining assortment strategies, and proposing impactful in-store activations. You will work closely with Sales teams to support customer negotiations, building compelling selling stories grounded in data and aligned with channel strategy.
In the Out of Home channel, you will develop trade marketing frameworks and tools that empower Sales teams to better engage with customers, defining KPIs and growth targets that support the company plan. You’ll analyze channel dynamics, track performance across customers and categories, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in our commercial processes.
In the Category Activation area, you’ll help shape the strategy for specific product segments. You’ll monitor sell-out performance, support promotional planning, and evaluate results to continuously refine your activation plans. You’ll also guide the development of seasonal and core assortments, and bring our brands to life at point of sale through in-store materials and promotions.
Working in Customer Marketing, you’ll assess the potential of extended categories and evaluate joint value creation opportunities. You’ll analyze customer profitability, define priorities, and propose tailored initiatives to Key Account Managers. Your strategic input will support customer planning and spending allocation, ensuring that every initiative is aligned with both Ferrero and customer goals.
In the Revenue Management & Commercial Planning team, you will conduct promo positioning analysis (vs market and competition), support the team in defining promo strategies with the Marketing department and assist in analyzing key-quality indicators and ex-post analysis of promotional performances (ROI, uplift, trade margin, value generated for the retailer).
Who we are looking for:
You bring with you a Master’s Degree in Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, and 1–3 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sales, or Category Management—ideally in the FMCG sector. Your strong analytical skills allow you to interpret data and market insights, turning them into actionable business plans. You’re confident working cross-functionally and know how to influence and align diverse stakeholders around shared commercial goals.
You contribute a mindset of continuous improvement and a hands-on attitude, always looking to elevate the effectiveness of tools, processes, and strategies. You navigate complexity with ease and communicate clearly, whether you’re designing in-store plans, negotiating internally, or presenting ideas to customers. You are fluent in English and Italian, and proficient in MS Office—especially Excel and PowerPoint—for both analysis and storytelling.
