Industrial Operations Curricular Internship - Lean Manufacturing & Engineering (6 Months)

About the Role:

Are you passionate about how industrial excellence is achieved through innovation, data and continuous improvement? Join our Industrial Department for a 6-month curricular internship and take part in real projects within our Lean Manufacturing and Engineering teams.

This internship will give you the opportunity to work in an international and structured environment, discovering how Ferrero ensures the efficiency, safety and innovation of its production systems, from process optimization to advanced engineering solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Curricular Intern in Industrial Operations, you will support one of the following areas:

Lean Manufacturing

You’ll support the analysis of production processes and contribute to projects that promote operational excellence across our manufacturing sites.
You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing production flows and reducing losses, while helping to define and deploy standardized methodologies and Lean tools.
Your tasks will include supporting data collection, KPI tracking, and project monitoring to evaluate results and benefits. Additionally, you’ll help promote a culture of “Continuous Improvement culture” by collaborating with various departments.

Engineering

You’ll join the Ferrero Engineering department, contributing to innovative projects in digital transformation, process design, and technical planning.
You will support the development and monitoring of engineering projects, from feasibility studies to execution.
You will participate in activities related to industrial digitalization, data collection systems, and performance dashboards.
Your responsibilities will also include contributing to simulation and analysis projects, helping to model production systems and validate improvements, while collaborating with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Technology) to translate technical findings into actionable solutions.

Across both areas, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a global industrial environment, developing analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills that will serve as a strong foundation for your future career.

About You:

You are currently pursuing your Master’s Degree path in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Management, Energy, Automation or related field) with a strong curiosity for how complex production systems operate and evolve.
You bring analytical thinking, adaptability and teamwork skills, with an interest in both process improvement and technological innovation.
Fluency in English and Italian is required, as you’ll collaborate with both local and international teams.
Basic knowledge of data analysis, Lean methodologies or simulation tools will be considered a plus.

This 6-month full-time curricular internship will allow you to experience how Lean principles and Engineering innovation work together to drive Ferrero’s industrial excellence and shape the factories of the future.
