IT Procurement Ariba Architect

About the Role:

As IT Ariba Architect Procurement, you will design and implement a future-ready IT Target Architecture for the Procurement and Mobility domains, integrating private cloud, public cloud, and on-premise solutions such as SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Ariba. You will maintain the current IT As-Is Architecture while driving innovation, ensuring data quality, and aligning solution designs with enterprise architecture governance. Collaborating with solution owners and external providers, you will shape roadmaps and deliver impactful, scalable IT solutions for the Procurement domain.

We are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Architect to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ECC, SAP S4, and Ariba, and will be responsible for designing and optimizing our procurement systems and processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will translate the Procurement Business Strategy into a future-proof IT Target Architecture for the Procurement and Mobility domain, which will include private and public cloud solutions such as Ariba, as well as on-premises systems like SAP S/4 HANA. You will ensure data quality in the Enterprise Application Management tool as part of your Enterprise Architecture governance responsibilities for the Procurement and Mobility domains. You will support the continuous enhancement of guidelines within Enterprise Architecture Governance and contribute to the creation of the application roadmap for Procurement. You will understand and track the roadmaps of IT Procurement solutions in collaboration with providers and drive best practice exchange with other enterprises and IT solution providers in the Procurement domain. You will conduct assessments in your area of responsibility for critical demands and create related architecture artifacts. You will align with solution owners, consulting and guiding them with a focus on solution design and IT architecture. You will utilize data analytics to monitor system performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. You will analyze and optimize procurement processes using process mining tools to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve supplier relationships. You will ensure that procurement systems and processes comply with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards. You will collaborate with external vendors to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of procurement systems. You will anticipate business needs and engage actively with stakeholders about their processes, while thinking outside the box and providing an outside-in perspective to internal references.

About You:

You hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering. You bring a minimum of eight years of experience in the IT Procurement arena, with a strong focus on the Ariba suite, including modules such as SLP, VRM, Sourcing, Contracts, Buying, and Ariba Network, as well as SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA. You possess relevant certifications in Procurement or SAP, while PMP and ITIL Foundation are considered a plus. You demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. You are highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. You have strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You are fluent in English.
