About the role:

For our Alba (CN) (Piedmont – Italy) Group Offices, we are looking for an Energy & Industrial Decarbonization Specialist interested in joining the Group Operations Sustainability Environment & Energy Department (DOSEE) reporting to the Energy & Industrial Decarbonization Manager.

By covering this position, you will contribute to the challenging achievement of the ambitious Ferrero Group Sustainability Targets within the Energy field.

You will be at the heart of our energy transition strategy, managing complex industrial projects with high technical, environmental, and economic impact. You’ll collaborate across multiple departments (Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Controlling, and site teams) and oversee both planning and execution phases.

Main responsibilities:

As Energy & Industrial Decarbonization Specialist, you will be leading detailed energy audits across production sites to map current energy use, systems, and costs, while coordinating cross-functional site teams and external consultants, to define the technical and economic "as-is" baseline for each site.

In your role, you will identify and evaluate decarbonization scenarios tailored to each site’s characteristics, assessing technological options based on maturity, cost, and applicability in food manufacturing. Supporting Procurement in market scouting and supplier selection, you will oversee basic design phases and validate solutions through on-site inspections.

One of your responsibilities will be to prepare comprehensive documentation for decision-making bodies such as Steering Committees, Capex, and the Board, guiding the definition of technical specifications, tender processes, and contract negotiations. Ensuring full alignment and continuous communication with all involved departments, you will track KPIs and support the evaluation of actual emission reductions post-implementation.

You will scout new decarbonization technologies with potential for application in our industrial network, supporting energy budget planning, performance reporting, and CSR reporting, particularly in the Climate Change section. Working alongside with operations & maintenance teams, you will optimize energy production systems and renew maintenance contracts.

Who we are looking for:

You will bring your master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Energy, mechanical,…) and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position (Energy management, Industrial Projects, Sustainability, …) with a proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in international contexts with a financial mindset and experience building business cases for technical investments.

You are  familiar with ISO50001 management system as well as understanding of carbon accounting methodologies (such as Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Iso 14064 etc...) and emissions reduction strategies (such as the Science-Based Targets methodology)

Your genuine interest in international mobility will be a valuable asset, along with a true passion and curiosity for the Food sector.

High Proficiency command of business English communication together with an advanced knowledge of the MS Office (particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word) are essential requirements for us.

Does this opportunity seem right for you? Don’t hesitate and apply, uploading the English version of your CV!
