Trade Marketing Specialist
About the Role:
If you’re passionate about building connections between brands and customers—and thrive in a dynamic environment where strategy meets execution—this role could be the perfect fit. As a Trade Marketing Specialist, you will act as a key link between Ferrero’s strategic vision and our customers’ commercial needs. Your role will be to translate marketing plans into tailored customer strategies, ensuring alignment with sales priorities, innovation launches, and business performance objectives. Working closely with Customer Managers and Key Account Managers, you’ll help shape category growth and deliver effective, data-driven activation plans at a customer level.
Main Responsibilities:
You will analyse customer performance across categories, identifying gaps in sell-in and sell-out against both benchmarks and company targets. Your work will be deeply rooted in numbers—diving into Customer P&Ls, identifying opportunities to optimize trade margin, and leveraging insights to develop triple-win strategies. You’ll propose tailored development plans for each customer, adjusting Ferrero’s strategic approach to reflect real business potential, profitability, and activation effectiveness.
You will be responsible for supporting the annual strategic planning for the modern trade channel, contributing to customer planning and budget definition. Working closely with internal stakeholders—including Sales, Shopper Marketing, and Supply Chain—you’ll guide the development of customized activation plans that reflect customer-specific needs while staying true to brand guidelines. You’ll also help set investment allocation criteria and contribute to defining commercial initiatives based on turnover, growth levers, and profitability.
In this role, you will become the point of reference for select strategic categories and take full ownership of their customer-specific activation. You will also support innovation launches, preparing presentations and recommendations to guide Sales in key customer meetings. Occasionally, you’ll join customer visits to present upcoming innovations and align on joint growth paths. Your ability to connect commercial, marketing, and supply priorities will be essential to your success.
About You:
You bring with you a Master’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field and 2 to 4 years of experience in Trade & Shopper Marketing, Sales, or Marketing—ideally within the fast-moving consumer goods industry. You have a strong interest in working with large-scale retailers and are eager to grow your expertise in customer strategy and category development. Your analytical mindset allows you to interpret data with confidence, and you have advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
You bring curiosity, flexibility, and a hands-on attitude. You’re motivated by complexity, open to learning, and ready to take on cross-functional challenges. You’re comfortable collaborating with both internal teams and customer stakeholders, and you understand how to adapt strategies to real business needs. Your strong communication skills and commercial intuition will support you in building trusted relationships and driving meaningful results.
You are fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken, and confident presenting to a variety of internal and external audiences. Your ability to communicate clearly and professionally will support your collaboration across international teams and functions.
Most importantly, you bring energy, ownership, and the desire to make an impact. You’re close to the customer, understand the full commercial picture, and are ready to take an active role in shaping customer-specific strategy across some of Ferrero’s most iconic brands.
Are you ready to shape the future of customer strategy? Apply now and bring your curiosity, precision, and energy to a team where your contribution truly matters.
