About the Role:

 

We are happy to share that we are currently looking for a talented Food Safety & Quality Chemistry Laboratory Specialist, who will support the Group FSQ Analytical Excellence Team within our Food Safety & Quality Department.

This will be the starting point of an exciting career, that will enable you to consolidate both technical and managerial skills for a brilliant path in Ferrero Group!

Main Responsibilities:

 

You will work in a highly dynamic and international environment within Ferrero, performing the laboratory analysis on samples (RM, packaging, surprises, semi-finished products, finished products, environmental samples) in a timely manner and respecting methods, procedures and good laboratory practices, together with all the safety rules and instructions. You will be responsible for performing quantitative analyses of contaminants in a wide range of samples and will also oversee project management aspects, ensuring timely delivery of results, maintaining data integrity and coordinating across departments. In particular for:
 

  • Sample preparation (raw materials, semifinished products, finished products)
  • Analysis execution
  • Quality checks
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of GC
  • Results recording on SAP and Data management
  • Development and validation of analytical methods
  • Preparation for annual inspections and audits (ISO 17025 requirements)

Systematically providing warnings on anomalies, openining NC in the system when necessary.

 

You will participate to the effective management of laboratories according to central guidelines (reagents stock management, calibration of the tools, application of accident prevention regulations, application of the central methods reported on the portal, etc.).

Who we are looking for:

 

You will bring your university Master's Degree or PhD in Food Chemistry, Chemistry or similar and some experience in a laboratory environment in Food Companies, with a strong focus on Gas Chromatography (GC) for contaminant analysis.

You will contribute to the success of the team thanks to your hands-on experience with GC equipment (GCFID; GCMS; GCxGC-TOFMS etc…), including method development and troubleshooting.

You will bring your strong organizational skills and your experience in managing medium to long-term projects, as well as your enthusiasm and motivation.

As a good communicator, your fluency in both Italian and English will be key to perform in our environment, as well as strong communication and relationship skills.

Your desire for international mobility will be a great asset for us, together with your true passion, curiosity for the Food sector and full availability for business trips.

 

Regarding IT Skills, familiarity with SAP and with laboratory software (e.g., Chromeleon, Simplicity, Masshunter, Totalchrom, etc..) for data acquisition, analysis, and instrument control are considered as a plus.
