About the Role:

We are currently looking for a talented candidate to work in a highly dynamic and international enrvironment. The candidate will be part of the R&D Milk & Eggs laboratory team as R&D Raw Materials Milk&Eggs specialist. 
 

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for identifying relevant raw materials that enable new developments or improvements in both half-finished and finished products. The person will create specifications that meet the needs of the finished product, consumer, and market. Additionally, the candidate will manage the specifications approval process and ensure that the Devex and SAP systems are kept up to date.

The candidate will also manage and lead new R&D projects to support Ferrero’s innovations, ensuring that the specifications delivered are fit for purpose and will analyze data from experimental testing and taste analyses to verify product conservation. Furthermore, the candidate will cooperate with procurement and the Food Safety & Quality RM team to support the raw material provision process and develop derisking solutions, ensuring the availability of all necessary raw materials for trials required by the business units within the fixed timelines.

Collaboration with the Food Regulatory team will be essential to maintain a constant update of regulatory scouting for all dairy and egg raw materials. The candidate will contribute to continuously updating the raw materials and finished products’ country suitability to comply with all local legislations where Ferrero produces and sells its products.

Moreover, the candidate will provide support to the Product Development Technical Department for any issues related to raw materials and will also identify potential improvements for the raw materials used through the study of technological and productive interventions among suppliers.


 

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality, Safety, Regulatory, or a related field. A PhD in these areas would be a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of raw materials and technological processes, particularly in the dairy, milk, and egg sectors with a specific focus on proteins.

This individual must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the food industry, with a strong preference for those who have managed raw materials specifications. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential, as the role involves working collaboratively within cross-functional and international teams.

The ability to thrive in a dynamic and complex work environment is crucial, along with demonstrated resilience and determination to achieve set goals. Proficiency in data analysis is required to inform decision-making processes. Experience with SAP and Devex systems is highly desirable.

High fluency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary. Additionally, this person should be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
