Main responsibility:

As a Utilities & Energy Mechanical Project Engineer, you will lead the technical design and propose solutions for mechanical utilities projects (HVAC and Energy) by writing technical specifications and coordinating design activities. During the tendering phase, you will support purchasing by leading the technical part and aligning suppliers and contractors.

In this role, you will supervise site construction activities, manage technical details, and coordinate vendors' activities. Part of your responsibilities will be to lead cost management, timelines, and quality standards at every stage of the project for your part and support the project manager in integrating overall reports and status.

One of your main tasks will be to prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors to plan and track deliverables. You will create, submit, and track relevant technical documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered with quality standards.

You will lead in providing equipment specifications and technical support to procurement and other business partners for the best technical solutions. Assessing and communicating project status, driving escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams and leadership, will be an important part of your activities.

As the focal point for your projects, you will work very closely with Health & Safety, Maintenance, Quality, Sustainability, and Production departments from project start to project go-live.

Who we are looking for:

You will bring a master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering, or a related field, along with 4-7 years of experience in Utilities. You will bring strong analytical skills and leadership to multiple disciplines within a large and complex organization, demonstrating a proactive, result-oriented approach and the ability to balance and execute on many initiatives in parallel.

Your availability for frequent business travel (approximately up to 60%) and future international mobility will be mandatory. Fluency in English and a basic knowledge of Italian are essential.
