Flavour & Chemical (F&C) Raw Material Portfolio Management - Junior Specialist

About the Role:

We are looking for a Flavour & Chemical (F&C) Raw Material Portfolio Management Junior Specialist who will join the F&C Raw Materials Portfolio Management area within Global R&D. In this role, you will contribute to the management and evolution of a complex portfolio of raw materials – including flavours, colorants, chemicals and spices – supporting consistency, quality and innovation across the organization.

Operating in a highly cross-functional environment, you will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Procurement and external suppliers, gaining exposure to raw material lifecycle dynamics and portfolio governance processes. Through a combination of data management, coordination and participation in ongoing initiatives, you will support the continuous improvement of raw material portfolio management, contributing to more structured, efficient and informed decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

Supporting the F&C Raw Materials Portfolio Management Senior Specialist, you will contribute to the creation, structuring and ongoing management of the F&C raw materials portfolio.

You will be involved in maintaining and updating technical specifications and documentation, collaborating with internal specialists in flavours, chemicals, colors and spices to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment across portfolio references.

Working with external suppliers, you will contribute to the development of raw material libraries, supporting the collection and organization of technical documentation and key information. In parallel, partnering with laboratory teams, you will help ensure the availability of samples required for testing and evaluation activities.

You will support data management and analysis, contributing to the elaboration and presentation of portfolio-related data, enabling more structured monitoring and informed decision-making.

Participating in analytical activities, you will contribute to raw material characterization, while also supporting sensory evaluation sessions, flavour creation and application activities, and specification definition and upload into systems.

Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams – particularly R&D, Quality and Procurement – you will help ensure alignment, effective communication and smooth execution of portfolio-related initiatives.

About You:

You hold a master’s degree in Food Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Science or a related field; a PhD in these disciplines would be considered favorably.

Ideally, you have gained experience within R&D environments in the food or flavour industry, developing familiarity with raw materials, ingredients or formulation contexts. A basic understanding of food and flavour regulations is important for the role.

A good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint) supports your ability to manage and present data effectively.

A curious and scientific mindset enables you to approach topics with both rigor and openness, while a strong willingness to learn supports your growth in a dynamic environment.

You are comfortable working in team-based environments, and fluency in English allows you to engage effectively with different stakeholders, demonstrating strong collaboration skills and a proactive attitude.

What We Offer:

The role is classified at Level 1° under the National Collective Agreement for the Food Industry (CCNL Industria Alimentare). The guaranteed minimum base annual gross salary established by the CCNL for the applicable level is €43.249. The overall compensation will be determined based on the experience, skills, and qualifications of the selected candidate.
