About the Role:

The role is aimed to ensure distribution in General Trade and independent retailers, planning and delivering sales targets of the customers assigned, and development/expansion of business opportunities within GT channel. The role will continue grow the reach and business share of the e-commerce channel through increased distribution, portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships with e-retailers, and promotion planning. It will also require understanding and further grow of the Food Service channel through existing accounts and additional projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and improve distribution in general trade planning and implement strategic goals for the business growth

  • Propose commercial policies, programs and customer plans for GT channel

  • Identify new business opportunities & potential clients, and plan expansion in Food Service/ HORECA sector

  • Plan and lead the e-commerce business across the different channels (Omni, pureplay, etc.)

  • Monitor Sales actuals achievement continuously and propose revision where necessary (volumes, profits) for customer by channel

  • Analyze current customer performance by developing SWOT analyses, and define future Business Opportunities, customer-specific goals and strategy

  • Review proposals on customers and conform compliance with commercial policy

  • Keep trade spending within the guidelines established by the Ferrero Commercial Policy, and analyze trade spending to ensure the best return on investment

  • Tie trade spending to specific business-driving activities (promotions, 2nd placements, etc.), approve payments

  • Define and negotiate contracts with all customers  

  • Leverage on support of the Trade Marketing for specific sales arguments to achieve the strategic objectives

  • Negotiate annual / session promotion plan according to marketing plan

  • Negotiate implementation of planogram and position at central level, and provide support and guidance to sales field for local implementation

  • Communicates to field sales of the agreements reached with customers and the action plan to be deployed on the Market 

  • Monitors the actual in-store deployment and ensure local execution is aligned with defined plans and policies

  • Monitor sales, stocks and building blocks KPIs for the customers assigned

  • Monitor parallel (PI) activities in General Trade

  • Resolve issues with accounts when required, take actions on issues with credits

  • Check and approve invoice issue to Ferrero to pay for activities

Who we are looking for:

  • University degree in a business discipline

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in FMCG environment

  • Strong market knowledge of traditional and modern trade, impulse channel, channel and customer planning, etc

  • Good knowledge of commercial logistics and sales, field and merchandising processes

  • Strong stakeholder management, account management, negotiation and leadership skills

  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, insight orientated reporting, project management

  • Growth mindset, good organizational and time management skills

  • Proactivity, accountability, resilience, dynamism and self-motivation, ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment

  • Advanced MS Office skills

  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required
